Sign in at the beginning of each school visit and sign out prior to leaving school grounds
Wear appropriate school/site identification while on school property and at school-related activities
Dress appropriately for the educational and work setting in a manner that is not disruptive to the educational process
Demonstrate a commitment to education for all students
Notify the school in a timely manner when unable to complete scheduled volunteer duties
Never take photos/recordings of students unless explicit permission has been granted
Help students to achieve success
Adhere to all Board policies, and all City Schools and individual school procedures.
Obtain approval from the school principal or principal’s designee before beginning any task and follow the direction of the principal or principal’s designee
Be professional and respectful of all students, staff and other employees, and other volunteers.
In performing classroom tasks, seek to assist teachers - not replace them.
Volunteers are not expected nor authorized to handle disciplinary issues, report issues to school staff
Respect the confidentiality of every student
