COMMITTEES: ON HOLD - RELAUNCH DATE TBD
The Waverly PTO is powered by our amazing parents & community members! Our standing committees are the heart of what we do. Each committee is focused on a specific area of our school community, driven by volunteers who show up, give their time, and make a difference.
The Waverly PTO Events Committee is the crew behind the fun! This committee plans, organizes, and brings to life the events and activities that make Waverly such a special place to be. From community gatherings and family nights to school celebrations and seasonal events, our Events Committee works hard to create memorable experiences that bring students, families, and staff together throughout the year. Whether you love planning, decorating, coordinating, or just being where the action is, this is a great committee to be a part of. All are welcome — the more, the merrier!
Our Little Library Committee keeps the joy of reading alive in our school community! This dedicated group is currently working to secure funding to build our very own Little Free Library. We can't wait to see it come to life! Once established, the committee will maintain and stock the library, ensuring it's always filled with fresh books for students and families to borrow, enjoy, and share. Whether organizing donations, curating selections, or keeping things tidy, this committee helps spark a love of reading. Stay tuned for updates as this exciting project gets underway!
Our Middle School Committee is all about making the middle school years something to remember! This committee creates events, activities, and resources designed specifically for our middle schoolers and their families throughout the year. Our High School Prep Event, launching in the 2026–2027 school year, is designed to help middle schoolers and their families get an early look at what high school has in store — from course planning and extracurriculars to what schools are looking for and how to make the most of the years ahead. Whether your student is just starting 6th grade or already thinking about high school, this committee is here to support and celebrate every step of the middle school journey.
We also have a Level Up Team dedicated to celebrating and supporting our 5th graders as they prepare for one of their biggest milestones! This group plans and organizes special events and experiences designed for our graduating 5th graders to honor everything they've accomplished. Beyond the festivities, the team helps families navigate the transition by sharing resources, hosting informational nights, and connecting parents with everything they need to feel confident and excited about what's ahead.
Student Family Community Council (SFCC) PTO Representatives The Waverly PTO has three dedicated representatives serving on the SFCC — each serving a two-year term. Our SFCC Representatives attend every Student Family Community Council meeting on behalf of our PTO, sharing family perspectives and concerns, collaborating with school leaders and community partners, and bringing updates back to our community. But they don't have to go alone! All PTO members and school community members are encouraged to attend SFCC meetings.
